• It sure sounds like your motor is lacking power, I would definetly change both the low and high pressure fuel filters and install a new set of plugs, I would even do a compression check to make sure the motor is up to par. I have an 05 90 suzuki on a Pro-V 1800 tiller and run a 14x20 ss suzuki prop no problem at 5500rpm @ 35mph

• I had a similar issue on my DF140. I changed out the low pressure fuel filter, fuel hose and primer bulb and problem has not been back. Fairly easy fix. If you attempt to fix yourself, Brownspoint Marine's website has full diagrams and parts for all the Suzuki motors.
